Stephan Gabriel, is a 71 year old guru, originally from Chicago IL. His parents were of a mixed religious background, his father being Roman Catholic and his mother being Jewish. Growing up, the book that influenced him the most was Robert A. Heinlein’s Stranger In A Strange Land. His ashram is in the Coast Redwoods of Humboldt County California. His teachers and influencers include Mooji, Amma, Papaji, Ramana Maharishi, Sri Anandamayi Ma, V. M. Smith*, and many others.
His teachings are sometimes classified as “pantheism,” “panentheism,” “Advaita Vedanta,” “non dualism,” or, “the Oneness of the All.”
His spirituality is a blending of Neo-Buddhism, Neo-Hinduism, and reconstructionist Judaism, a blending that he basically created himself, which espouse teachings and practices that are Stephen’s own design.
Some of his followers believe that he is the living incarnation of the Archangel Gabriel.
His main teaching, and what constitutes his “Gospel” is “You are G-d.”
